It has been an energising week of input, discussion and debate!
On Wednesday we explored the Church’s future direction with the Lay Form in Dungarvan. Then two days before that, on Monday, we had some great input from Dermot McCarthy, who delved deeper into his recent article in the Furrow magazine, on the Church and State’s relationship. Be sure to view all the pictures from the events in question in our Gallery or on Facebook!
Dermot McCarthy’s article helps to contextualise important aspects of the Irish Church and State’s experience, and therefore, aids us in gaining understanding of the past so we can build for the future. Lets see what kind of Church we can envision together at #irishsynod2020.
Dermot’s article can be downloaded at https://augustinians.ie/lay-forum/ .
