“You were always there. You were with me, but I was not with you. You were within me, but I was outside.”
St. Augustine
Ten years after St. Augustine’s conversion, he began to doubt his own faith. So, he wrote an autobiography, called ‘The Confessions’, in order to identify where God had been at work in his life. Through this process of reflection, he realised that God was always present and active in his life and in fact all of our lives, even though we might be unaware of it at the time.
