We invite you to explore our website but in particular the history of the Irish Augustinians. As it’s a history that has its foundations rooted in the writings and teachings of Saint Augustine of Hippo (354-430). These firm foundations, ancient though they are, have freed us to build communities that look to the future, with the values of unity, truth and love as their guiding principles. So Saint Augustine’s life is as relevant today as it was over 100 or 1000 years ago because he too searched for meaning in his life. However, there is no denying that life has changed since St. Augustine’s time, we have advanced in technology, knowledge and science, but that same search that St. Augustine set out on is still with us today.  As St. Augustine said,
